Taj Mahal Travels

Taj Mahal Travels is located right on Kajamalai Main Road in the Khaja Nagar part of Trichy. It’s a pretty straightforward spot to get to. We don’t have a big neon sign, just a regular board outside. The office has been here for a good bit of time. We spend most of our day answering the phone and talking to people who want to visit family or go on a trip. Khaja Nagar is a nice neighborhood, not too quiet but not as crazy as the main bus stand area. I usually keep a bottle of water and some biscuits on my desk for when things get slow. We don’t do any fancy marketing or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or see us when they walk by. The floor is tiled but some are cracked. It doesn’t bother us much. We are more focused on making sure the cars are running okay. Sometimes the rainy season makes the road outside a bit muddy, but that’s just how it is. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit while they wait. My brother and I run the place mostly. We just try to be honest with everyone who walks in. It’s a basic business but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We have an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, but it helps us keep track of the day. Sometimes we close early if there’s a local festival. It is just a normal life here.
