Swaja Exports

You’ll find Swaja Exports on the first floor of Annakalachiyam Illam, which is on Melur Road in Srirangam. It’s a pretty standard building, and our office is just a few rooms where we handle all the export details. The stairs up to the first floor are a little narrow, so moving heavy samples up and down can be a bit of a chore. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a lot of filing cabinets, and samples of products scattered around on every available surface. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a while. We spend a lot of our day dealing with shipping documents and talking to agents over the phone. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to answer it. We drink far too much coffee and the office can get a bit cluttered when a big shipment is being prepared. Sometimes the noise from Melur Road makes it hard to hear on the phone, so we’ve learned to talk a bit louder. We don’t use any complicated management systems; we just keep track of everything in our own way. It’s a practical, everyday sort of business. We focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the exports move along smoothly without any big surprises.
