Our place is located in Trichy, specifically at J J Towers on Madurai Road. We are up on the third floor, at No 1 No 168, which is right near the Clock Tower. It’s a very central part of the city, so there is always something going on outside. Being on the third floor means we have to walk up and down quite a bit, but you get used to it after a while. The Clock Tower is a major landmark here, so nobody ever gets lost trying to find us. Madurai Road is always packed with buses and bikes, so the sound of horns is just part of our daily background music. We started Subedar And Sons to just have a steady way to make a living and do some work for people around here. The office is pretty basic, just the essentials like some desks and files. We aren’t into the whole corporate look with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done and we talk to whoever comes in. Some days are quiet, and other days it feels like everyone is coming in at once. We usually have a tea break in the afternoon when things calm down a bit. Dealing with the public in such a busy area keeps us on our toes. We’ve been in this building for a while and know the other shop owners around the Clock Tower area quite well. It is a good spot to be.
