Sri Vishnu Computer Offset Printers

We are located at 9A on Ayikulam Road in Kumbakonam. It is a busy enough street and the shop stays pretty active with the sound of the offset machines running most of the day. People around here know the spot. We spend a lot of time looking at computer screens to get the layouts right before the actual printing starts. The ink has a specific smell that stays in your clothes, but you get used to it after a few weeks of working here. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the step for a bit until it comes back. The walls inside are covered with old samples and some calendars from previous years that nobody bothered to take down. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular work space with paper stacks piled up in the corners. We’ve seen the road change over the years, new shops coming and old ones closing, but we stay right here doing the same offset work. Usually, there is a bit of dust because of the traffic outside, so we have to wipe the machines down every morning. It’s just how things go. Most of our day is spent handling paper and checking the alignment on the plates. If you walk down Ayikulam Road, you can hear the rhythm of the printers from the sidewalk. It's a steady life and we just keep at it, one job at a time, making sure the ink sits right on the page.
