Sri Kanta Gaargesh Stores is right on Brahmin Street, very close to the New Bus Stand Road. If you’ve ever been to the bus stand, you’ve probably walked past our street at some point. It’s a very busy area with people coming and going from the buses all day long. Our store is a traditional one, with shelves piled high with all the goods we carry. It’s not a supermarket where you wander around with a cart; it’s the kind of place where you ask for what you need and we get it for you. The street is narrow and there are always scooters and delivery carts trying to get through. We’ve been on Brahmin Street for a long time and we know almost everyone who lives nearby. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside, but we like the closeness. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. We start early to catch the travelers heading to the bus stand and we stay open until the last few buses are gone. Sri Kanta Gaargesh Stores is a simple family-run type of place. We don’t do any advertising or have a website. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here on this corner for years and people know they can find us right near the bus stand road. It's a busy life but it's what we know.
