Shree Sai Cabs

Our place is at No 6/5 in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, which is over in the Edamalaipattipudur area. A good way to find us is to look for the ration shop because we are right opposite to it. It’s a handy spot. We run a small fleet of cabs from here. The office is basically just a front room where we keep the car keys and a logbook. We don't have many people working here, just me and a few drivers who live nearby. The cars are parked in the street or in the small lot behind. Trichy is a hot place, so we try to keep the cars clean and the windows working. Sometimes the phone rings at four in the morning for an airport drop. We take turns sleeping near the phone so we don't miss anything. We don't have any big corporate rules or uniforms. Our drivers just wear their regular clothes. Sometimes we have to cancel a trip if a car breaks down, which is annoying for everyone, but we try to find another way. The traffic in Edamalaipattipudur can be slow in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We know all the back roads though. Shree Sai Cabs has been in this neighborhood for a few years now. We are just local people providing rides to other local people. It is a simple business and we like it that way.
