Shiva Opticals

Shiva Opticals is right here in Karumandapam, specifically at No. 4 in the Sri Renga Complex. We have been running this place for a while now, focusing on glasses and frames for the people who live nearby. It is not a very large shop, but we have enough space for the testing equipment and all the different types of frames we keep on the walls. Most days, it is just us here, helping people pick out something that fits their face or fixing a pair of glasses that someone sat on by mistake. We see a lot of students and older folks from the neighborhood coming in because the complex is easy to get to. Sometimes the lighting in the shop feels a bit bright, but you need that to see the small details on the lenses. We don't really do much besides the usual eye checks and getting lenses cut to the right size. It's a steady kind of work, and we know many of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to this part of Karumandapam for years. The shelves are filled with cases and cleaning cloths, and there is usually a stack of orders waiting to be picked up near the counter. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone who walks in finds what they need without too much fuss. It is a simple setup we have going on here.
