Runway Travels

Our place is located on Rpf Road, which is right on the Kajamalai Main Road here in Trichy. We are very close to Om Harish Hospital, so if you see that, you have basically found us. Runway Travels isn't a huge operation. We have a desk, some chairs, and a calendar that is usually a month behind. Khaja Nagar is a decent area to work in. It stays fairly busy with people heading to the hospital or just passing through. I usually open up the shop around nine or ten depending on how the traffic was. My cousin helps me out with the bookings and the phone calls. We use an old ledger for most of the accounts because computers can be a headache sometimes. The street noise is constant but it keeps us awake. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait for customers, so we just read the newspaper or talk to the shopkeeper next door. We’ve been at No 64 for a while now. Most people around here know us by name. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a room with some travel posters and a fan that squeaks a little. We handle things as they come. If a driver is late, we just call them and wait. Life moves along at its own pace here. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit messy, but we just put down some cardboard. We are just simple people trying to run a small shop. It feels good to help the neighbors get to where they need to go without any fuss.
