Ramesh Earthmovers

Started out in North Street in Lalgudi Taluk years ago. Ramesh Earthmovers handles the heavy stuff. We have the JCBs and various earthmovers for whatever project comes up. It’s mostly local work around here. Folks usually come to us when they need a trench dug or some land cleared for a new house. It isn't fancy work, but it gets done eventually. We've been at No. 2/106 for a while now and the neighbors know us. The weather around here can be tough on the metal, so we spend a lot of our spare time on maintenance and fixing leaks. Sometimes the rain slows things down for days, but that's just how it goes in this line of work. Most people around Lalgudi know where to find us if they have a big job. We don’t have a big office staff or anyone answering phones all day. It's usually just us out in the dirt and sun. You might see the trucks moving quite early in the morning when the air is still cool. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the job right in front of us. If someone needs a pond dug out or a foundation started, they usually just stop by the gate. We know the soil around here pretty well by now. It’s a lot of hard work and grease, but we like it well enough. The machines are old but they run because we care for them. People appreciate that we don't make a big fuss about everything.
