Prapancha Pet

Getting up to the second floor of this building in the S I D C O Industrial Estate takes a bit out of you, especially when we’re carrying heavy bags of feed. Prapancha Pet is tucked away upstairs at No : 2 3, right in the middle of all the noise from the other factories in Ariyamangalam. You can hear the machines humming through the walls all day. We started out with just a couple of rooms and some basic supplies. It’s not exactly a showroom; it’s more like a working space where we keep things organized the best we can. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when moving stuff in. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and talking to the people who stop by after their shifts. The light coming through the windows isn't great, but we make do. There is always a smell of dry grain and maybe a bit of dust in the air. We keep a small radio on the shelf near the desk, mostly playing local stations to keep the silence away. Sometimes the heat upstairs gets pretty bad, but we have a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. It’s a busy spot even if it’s tucked away. Most people find us by word of mouth or by seeing the small sign we put downstairs near the entrance. It’s just a regular place where we work every day, nothing more.
