Ponnusamy Supermarket

Ponnusamy Supermarket is our family-run store at A1, Mudali Street. We are very easy to find because we are located near the Government Hospital. Being in this part of town means there is always something happening outside our doors. We have people coming in at all hours of the day. Some are visiting the hospital and just need a quick drink, while others are neighbors doing their weekly shopping. We carry a bit of everything at A1, Mudali Street. From soap to lentils, we try to keep the basic stuff in stock. We are not a big chain store with thousands of locations. It is just this one shop. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floors and making sure the products are not expired. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps the place running. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing department. We just use our common sense to run the business. If someone asks for a product we don't have, we try to get it for them next time. Mudali Street is a good place for a supermarket. We have seen a lot of changes in the area over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We don't have any fancy slogans. We are just here to sell things people need. It is a busy life but it feels good to be a part of the local community near the hospital.
