Nilgiris Super Market

You can find us at 72, Art Gowri Towers in Amman Nagar, Kattur. We’ve set up Nilgiris Super Market here to serve the local families. It’s a decent-sized space on the ground floor. Every morning starts the same way, with the milk and bread deliveries arriving before the sun is even fully up. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and making sure the vegetables are fresh. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit in as many different items as we can. We know that people in Kattur want to find everything in one trip. The staff here are mostly local folks who know where everything is. It gets quite crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. Sometimes the billing lines get a bit long, but we try to move as fast as we can. We aren't like those massive chain stores with fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes around. The tower itself is a well-known spot, so people don't have trouble finding us. We keep the lights on late so that anyone who forgot something for dinner can still pop in. It’s a lot of work keeping the shelves stocked, but it’s good to see the same faces every day. We just try to keep a tidy shop for the neighborhood and handle things one customer at a time.
