Mas Export & Import

At No. 90 East Street in Melur Srirangam, you will find Mas Export & Import. It is an old part of town and we like it here. Srirangam is a busy place with the temple nearby, but our street is a bit more for regular business. We handle a lot of different things coming in and going out. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking lists. The office is small and usually has too many papers on the desks. We deal with various goods, trying to make sure everything gets where it needs to go. My brother handles the paperwork while I look at the stock. Sometimes we have crates stacked up all the way to the ceiling. It can get a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives. We have been working from this East Street address for several years now. The tea shop at the corner is where we go when things get too stressful. It is just a regular local business. We don't have any big corporate signs. People just know us by the name on the door. Every day is different. One day we are moving boxes, the next we are just waiting for the transport to show up. It’s a simple way of living and we are used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We keep the gate open for the workers who come in at eight.
