We’ve been here at No. 5, Thamarai Salai for a while now. Trichy gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning before the sun really hits the front door. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and some shelves that probably need a bit of dusting. Most days it’s just us handling the paperwork and making sure things get sent out to the right places. Sometimes the tea stall down the street brings over snacks when we’re too busy to go out. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door so people can find us. Thamarai Salai is a busy enough road, and there’s always something going on outside with the traffic and the noise from the neighbors. It’s a bit cramped inside when we get a lot of stuff delivered at once, but we manage. Someone is usually here by eight, and we don't head home until it’s dark. It's just a regular place where we work hard and try to keep things organized. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just checking lists. Sometimes the internet acts up, which is annoying, but that's just how it goes here in Trichy. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this street. It feels like home after all these years of working from this same spot.
