You can find Lourdu Exports at No. 6 Anna Street, which is right near the E.B. Office in 15 Velambalayam. Having the electricity office so close makes it easy to give people directions. We have been working out of this location for several years now. Our focus is on getting goods ready for export, which means there are always boxes being taped up and pallets being moved. It’s a lot of physical work and the sun can get quite hot in the afternoons. We have a small yard where the trucks pull in to load up. Inside, it’s mostly just storage and a small area for the paperwork. We don't have air conditioning in the main warehouse, so we keep the big doors open for a breeze. The staff here are mostly local people from Velambalayam who walk or bike to work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the shipments go out on time and everything is packed correctly. Anna Street is a busy little place, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We just do our part and keep the business running smoothly. It’s a basic operation but it gets the job done for the people we work with. We usually close up around six in the evening and head home like everyone else on the street.
