Our place is situated at number 44 in Manakkadu North, which is part of the Pullambadi area near Lalgudi in Trichi. It’s a very local spot, and A. Lawrence is the one you’ll usually see coordinating things around here. It’s definitely not like those big city offices you see on TV. We are part of the neighborhood here in Tamilnadu, surrounded by houses and small shops. The pace is a bit different than the main city, which we actually prefer. We get our work done without too much fuss. The building itself is quite traditional and fits right into the street. Sometimes the mail gets a bit mixed up because of the way the plots are numbered, but we’re used to it. Most of us have been living and working in this district for years. We know the neighbors and they know us. There’s a nice sense of community when you step out for a break. The heat in Trichi can be tough in the summer months, but the office stays relatively cool. We don’t have any fancy signs or big glass windows. It’s just a solid brick-and-mortar spot where we handle our daily business. We usually start the day with a quick chat about what needs to happen and then just get on with it. It’s a quiet, productive way to spend the day, and it suits the way we like to operate in this part of the country.
