We are over at No. 333 Mahatma Gandhi Street, which is a pretty easy address to remember. Shiva Sakthi Agency isn't a huge operation, just a regular office where we handle a lot of different things. The street outside is usually full of people and carts, so it’s never really quiet here. Our front door stays open most of the day to let some air in, though that also means we get a lot of noise from the scooters zooming past. Inside, it’s mostly just a few chairs, a big desk covered in files, and a calendar on the wall that's a few months out of date. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things out in big notebooks. It’s not the kind of place where people come to hang out, it’s more for just getting the paperwork sorted and moving on. The walls are a pale yellow color that’s starting to peel a bit near the ceiling. We keep a water cooler in the corner, but the bottle is usually empty by lunchtime because of the heat. It’s a simple life on MG Street, just following the routine and making sure the orders are tracked correctly. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s just how things are around here, and we don't really expect it to change much. We just do our bit every day.
