Kamatchi Amman Travels

We operate out of the Tiruchirappalli Ho area. It’s a central part of Trichy, and everything is within reach from here. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some desks and a few old cupboards filled with papers. We’ve been in the travel business for a while now, mostly focusing on helping people get from one place to another without too much trouble. The office is usually humming with the sound of the ceiling fan and the occasional beep from the computer. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. There are no uniforms or scripted greetings here. You just come in, tell us where you need to go, and we see what we can find on the system. Sometimes we have to make a few calls to the operators to see if there’s an extra seat available. It’s a lot of back-and-forth work. The streets outside are always moving with people going to work or the market, so there’s a lot of energy around us. We have a small bench near the door where people can wait if we are busy. We keep a notebook handy to jot down names and numbers because sometimes the digital system acts up. It’s a very manual, hands-on way of running things, but it’s how we’ve always done it. We just focus on the task at hand and get the tickets sorted for whoever walks through the door.
