We've been running Jai Sakthi Travels & Call Taxi right here by the Chatiram Bus Stand for a good while now. Being so close to the Rock Fort means things stay busy, especially with people coming in from out of town and needing a quick way to get around. Our office is easy to find if you're walking from the bus stop. We started out with just a couple of cars and now we have a few more drivers who know these Trichy roads like the back of their hands. It gets hot out there, so we make sure the vehicles are kept up well enough so the AC actually works when you need it. We don't do anything fancy here, just picking people up and dropping them off where they need to go. Sometimes the traffic near the Fort is a real headache, but we manage. If you need a taxi to get across the city or even for a longer trip, we're usually around. My cousin helps me with the bookings and we try to keep things organized on the little desk we have. It’s a local business through and through. We know the shortcuts to avoid the main road jams when possible. Most of the folks who call us are regulars from around the neighborhood or travelers who just stepped off a bus at Chatiram. We just try to be honest about the timing and get the car there when we say we will. It’s a simple life.
