Hasmu Gates

Our workshop is right on Wireless Road at number 58. If you walk by, you’ll likely hear the sound of welding or the clank of metal hitting the floor. We spend our days making gates, mostly the heavy iron kind that people need for their driveways or shops. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired and covered in soot. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a big open space with welding machines, grinders, and piles of raw steel bars. We don't really do much in the way of marketing or fancy displays; people usually just see the work we’ve done for their neighbors and come find us. Each gate takes a fair amount of time because we have to cut everything to size and make sure the hinges are strong enough to hold the weight. It’s a noisy environment, and the smell of hot metal is always around. We have a small crew, and we’ve all been doing this for a long time now. We don't have a receptionist or a big office, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. It’s a basic business, but there’s something satisfying about starting with a bunch of metal rods and ending up with a gate that’s going to stand there for twenty years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. We don't waste time on fancy speeches or looking important.
