Harshini Travels

Being based in Manaparai means you get used to the steady pace of a town that sits right on the way to bigger places like Trichy. Harshini Travels is our small operation here in the 621306 area. We don’t have a fancy street address with a big building, we just work out of our local spot and keep the cars ready. Most of our days are spent checking the schedules and making sure the drivers are awake and ready for the early morning runs. The roads around here can be a bit rough in places, so we’re always looking at the tires and the suspension. It’s a lot of hands-on work that people don't really see when they're sitting in the back. We take the bookings as they come, sometimes over the phone and sometimes just because someone walked up to us in the street. There isn't a big corporate strategy here, just a bunch of us trying to make sure people get where they're going safely. The weather usually dictates how our day goes; if it’s raining, everything slows down, and if it’s sunny, we’re out there washing the dust off the windshields. We’ve lived in Manaparai all our lives, so we know the shortcuts and the best places to stop for a break. It’s a simple business, built on just being around when someone needs a ride and keeping things in decent shape.
