Govt.T.B.Hospital

Up on the Coonor High Ways, the Govt.T.B.Hospital sits in a spot that feels a bit different from the crowded city clinics. Being on the highway means we get a lot of wind and sometimes the sound of big trucks passing by at night. This place is specifically for T.B. patients, so the pace is a bit slower than a general hospital. People stay here for longer stretches, sometimes weeks or even months, so we get to know them pretty well. It’s not a flashy place. The walls are painted a standard green and the furniture is old wood or metal. We focus on the basics here—making sure people take their medicine and get enough rest. The air up here on the highways is usually a bit clearer, which is good for the folks staying with us. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing polished speeches. It is just the nurses, the doctors, and the maintenance crew making sure the lights stay on and the water runs. Morning rounds start early, and we spend a lot of time filling out reports by hand. The patients often sit outside in the shaded areas when the weather is nice, just watching the traffic go by on the road. It can be a lonely place for some, so we try to have a bit of a chat when we aren't too busy with the charts. It is honest work, and we just do our best with what we have here.
