Francks Pharmacy Ltd. is situated on the second floor of Preethi Arcade on Natarajan Street in K.K. Nagar. Being on the second floor means people have to walk up the stairs to get to us, which is a bit different from the usual street-level shops you see everywhere. Inside, the space is lined with glass cabinets and shelves full of medicine boxes and health supplies. It is a very clean and organized environment because you have to be able to find everything quickly. We spend a lot of time checking expiration dates and making sure the stock is replenished from the distributors. K.K. Nagar is a fairly busy residential and commercial mix, so we get a lot of people coming in from the surrounding apartments. Usually, it’s just the sound of the air conditioner and the occasional customer asking for something specific. We have a counter where we handle the billing and talk to people about what they need. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet during the middle of the afternoon when it’s hot outside, but then it picks up again in the evening. We have a small area for ourselves in the back where we keep our bags and have our lunch. It’s a straightforward pharmacy operation. We don’t do a lot of talking unless it’s about the work. We’ve been in Preethi Arcade for some time now and it’s a familiar spot for the local residents.
