Danam Travels

Danam Travels is located in the Old Burma Colony part of V.V. Kottai. Thuvakkudi is a bit out of the way, but we like it that way. This neighborhood has a specific feel to it, a bit older and more settled than the newer developments. Our place is easy to find if you know the colony roads. We spend most of our time keeping the cars ready. There is always something to fix, like a rattling door or a light that went out. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just a few of us making sure people get their rides on time. The dust from the road settles on everything, so cleaning is a never-ending job here. We get a lot of regulars from around Thuvakkudi who have been using us for years. They know us by name, and we know exactly where they live. It’s a very local way of doing things. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it’s not too hot, just watching the bikes go by. We don't use any fancy apps or computer systems for bookings, just a notebook and a pen. It works fine for us. If the phone rings at midnight, someone usually picks it up. That's just the nature of the travel business in a place like Trichy. We don't mind the long hours as long as we have some tea.
