Annai Veterinary Hospital

Annai Veterinary Hospital is located at 4 Chennai Trunk Road in Thiruvanai Kovil. Being right on the main trunk road means we get a lot of noise from the trucks and buses passing by all day long. It is a very busy area, and there is always dust in the air from the traffic. We keep our doors open and try to help the local animals that people bring to us. Because we are in Thiruvanai Kovil, we see a mix of city pets and sometimes animals from the more rural parts nearby. The building is basic and has been here for years. It is not a modern medical center with shiny walls, but it has everything we need to do our work. We have some sturdy tables for exams and shelves full of the usual medicines. The floor is made of old tile that we have to mop several times a day to keep clean. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors or folks who drive in from the nearby streets. It gets quite hectic during the evening hours when everyone finishes work and brings their pets in for checkups. We just handle one patient at a time and try to keep things moving. There is no big mystery to what we do; we just look after the animals and talk to their owners. It is a busy, slightly loud, but steady place to work.
