Alwin Travels

We’re located over at Puthur, on the 3rd Cross Road off Vayalur Road. If you’re looking for us, we’re at No 24 in South Ramalinga Nagar. It’s a nice neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a good bit of time. Alwin Travels is basically us trying to keep people moving around Trichy and beyond. The office is pretty basic, just some plastic chairs and a table with a laptop that we use for the records. Most of the work happens over the phone anyway. We’ve got a small fleet of vehicles, and we try to keep them clean and running well, though the heat and dust around here make it a constant battle. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us answering calls and making sure the drivers know where they’re going. Sometimes we get really busy during the wedding season, and it feels like we’re running in circles, but we usually manage to get everyone where they need to be. We’re just local people helping other local people. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like the independence of running our own small place and getting to know the folks who live around Vayalur Road. It’s just another day of checking schedules and keeping the cars on the road until the sun goes down.
