Our place is at 74 Ponvila Nagar, right on the Trichy Main Road. It’s an easy spot to pull over if you are driving through. We started out with just a couple of freezers and a dream of not having to work for someone else. Now, it’s a full-time job for me and my cousin. The road out front is always noisy with buses and trucks, but we’ve gotten used to it. Inside, it’s mostly just us serving up scoops. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls. It’s more of a practical place. We get a lot of travelers who are passing through Trichy and need a break from the heat. The sun can be really brutal on this stretch of road. I try to keep a good variety in the tubs, though sometimes we run low on the popular stuff like vanilla or mango. We aren't a big chain, just a local business trying to make a living. I usually spend my evenings cleaning the floors and checking the inventory for the next day. It’s hard work, but it’s ours. Most of our customers are locals from Ponvila Nagar who walk over after dinner. It’s a good community to be in. We just keep things moving and hope for a good season every year.
