We've been at 136-A, Main Road for a long time now. Working out of S.S.D. Towers keeps us central to everything going on in the area. Most days here are spent dealing with wood splints and chemicals. It gets quite busy on this stretch of Main Road, especially when the trucks come in for loading up. Making matches isn't exactly high-tech work, but it's what we know. The smell of sulfur is just part of the office environment now. We have a small crew that handles the packing and making sure the boxes are filled right. Sometimes the machinery acts up when it’s humid outside, which is basically half the year here. We just fix it and keep going. Most people around here know where we are because of the sign. It’s not a fancy setup. We have desks piled with paperwork and crates stacked in the corners. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our windows in the tower. Some staff have been here since the start, and we mostly just get on with the job. It's loud, it's dusty, and there's always something to move around. If you walk past S.S.D. Towers, you might see us out on the steps taking a quick break. We just try to get the orders out on time without too much fuss. It's a steady life. Nothing too exciting happens, we just make sure the matches light and the boxes are sturdy enough for travel.
