Borduria Green Fields Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers here in Borduria village. You can find us right near the Catholic Church in Tirap. Most of us have been working these fields since we were kids, just like our parents did. Borduria Green Fields Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just us getting together to handle our crops better. It gets quite rainy here in Khonsa, so the soil stays pretty damp. We mostly deal with what grows well in this part of Arunachal Pradesh. It’s not a big fancy operation or anything. We just sit together, figure out who has what to sell, and try to make sure nobody gets a bad deal. Sometimes we meet up after church or just outside someone’s house to talk about the harvest. People around here know us well. It is a bit of a climb to get to some of our plots, but that is just how the land is. We don't use much machinery because the hills are steep. Everything is done by hand mostly. If you are ever passing through Tirap and see the church, you are close to where we work. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to keep our village farming going for the next generation. It’s hard work every day, but it’s what we know. There are plenty of us involved now, and we just keep at it, season after season.
