Stop & Shop Departmental Store

We are right there on the main road in Digboi, near N.H.-37 and 38. It’s a good spot because everyone passing through Tinsukia district seems to end up on this road at some point. Stop & Shop Departmental Store isn't a massive supermarket, but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. From biscuits to soap to basic kitchen stuff, we’ve got it crammed in there somewhere. The morning shift is mostly about checking what sold out the night before and putting out new boxes. It’s a lot of reaching and bending, and the shelves are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful not to knock things over. We get a mix of regulars who live down the street and travelers who just need a quick snack or a bottle of water. The lights hum a little bit, and the air conditioning is hit or miss, but it stays cool enough. We don't do fancy promotions or loyalty cards. We just sit at the counter, ring up the items, and chat with the neighbors. It’s a simple way to spend the day. Tinsukia can be quite rainy, so we spend a lot of time mopping up footprints near the entrance. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people who want to be useful to the folks around here.
