If you find yourself in Margherita, you can find us on Hill View Road. We’re over near Balukhad, staying at Towfik Khan’s place. It’s a beautiful part of Tinsukia with the hills nearby. The air feels a bit different here than it does in the bigger cities. Our workspace is pretty basic. We have some old chairs and a table that’s seen better days. There’s a porch where we sometimes sit if the weather is nice. You can see the road from there and watch people going about their business. It’s a quiet area mostly. We don’t have a lot of walk-in traffic, but people know where to find us if they need to. We’ve been here in Assam for some time now. Most of our day is spent dealing with local matters and keeping our records straight. It’s a lot of manual work, nothing too high-tech. We like the pace of life in this part of the country. It’s not as rushed. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, but usually, we wrap up when the sun goes down. It’s just a small group of us working out of this house, doing what we can with the resources we have available. It gets dark pretty early in the winter so we keep some lamps handy just in case.
