RUDALI SAVINGS NIDHI LIMITED

If you walk down through Ward Number 2 in Margherita, you will eventually find House Number 433. That is where we set up Rudali Savings Nidhi Limited. It is a simple setup we’ve got here in Tinsukia. We don’t have those glass windows or air conditioning that stays on all day. Most days, it is just us and the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof, which happens a lot in this part of Assam. We have some old wooden desks and a few cabinets filled with files that have been there for ages. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello or ask about something small. We don't rush anyone. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. Working here feels very grounded because we see the same faces every week. We handle the savings and the paperwork without making a big deal out of it. Some days are busier than others, especially around the market days when everyone is out and about. We keep our ledgers tidy and make sure everything is in order before we leave for the day. It is a quiet life, really. We aren't looking to grow into some giant corporation. We just want to keep things running smoothly for the people living right here in Margherita. It's a small place, but it’s our place, and we are happy enough with that.
