Piyush Door

Piyush Door is a local shop located out on Makum Road. We’ve been in this district for a while, focusing on making and selling doors. It’s a simple business. We have a workshop where we put things together and a small area where we show what we have in stock. You won’t find any high-pressure salesmen here. We’re usually in the back working on an order, so you might have to shout to get our attention over the saws. We work with different types of wood and materials, depending on what people are looking for. Some days are spent just sanding down frames until they’re smooth. It’s dusty work, and we usually go home covered in sawdust. We don’t have a website with a shopping cart or anything like that. People usually just stop by Makum Road, look at what we’ve got, and tell us what they need. We’ve made doors for houses all over the area. It’s a good feeling to drive through a neighborhood and see one of our doors on a house. We try to make things that last because we know doors take a lot of wear and tear. We aren't a big factory; we’re just a small shop where we pay attention to what we’re doing. The pile of wood scraps out back keeps growing, but we eventually find a use for most of it. We don't have a fancy computer system to track everything; we mostly use a notebook and a pen. It’s worked for us so far, so we don't see much reason to change it now. It’s just a basic shop on Makum Road.
