Narsimha Cement

We’ve been running Narsimha Cement out here in Jagun Bazar for some time now. It’s a busy spot in Tinsukia district and the traffic can get pretty bad when the big trucks come through with the heavy loads. The shop isn’t much to look at, just a place where we keep the stock dry and handle the billing. It gets really dusty around here because of all the bags being moved, but that’s just the nature of the business. Most days it’s just us dealing with local contractors who need a few dozen bags for a project down the road. Sometimes the rain in Assam makes things difficult because we have to cover everything up fast or the cement goes bad. We’ve had a few leaks in the roof over the years but we patch them up when we can. My chair is a bit squeaky and the fan doesn’t always work, but we get the job done. It’s a lot of manual labor, loading and unloading in the heat. We don't really have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a counter and some ledgers. People know where we are, right in the middle of the bazar. It’s a loud place with all the market noise, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and make sure the inventory is right. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down.
