You can find Manab Kalyan Jagjivan Welfare Foundation over at Shop No. 101 in the Daily Bazar area of Tinsukia. Being in the market means there is always something going on around us. It’s noisy and crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying their vegetables and supplies. We like being right in the thick of things though. It makes it easier for people to stop by and say hello or ask a question. Our space is just a simple shop lot, nothing special to look at. We’ve got some old desks and a few chairs for whoever drops in. Tinsukia is a hardworking place, and we try to match that energy. It’s not always smooth sailing, and there are days when the market is so packed we can barely get to the door. We don't have a big staff or a lot of money, just a few of us who want to see things improve a bit. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who walk by. It’s a good way to stay connected to what’s actually happening on the street. We’ve been here for a bit now and people have gotten used to seeing us. We just take things one day at a time and see what needs fixing. It isn't perfect, but it is real life for us here in the market.
