Hotel Gitanjali

Out here on A T Road in Tinsukia, things move at their own pace. Hotel Gitanjali is situated near the Tda Central Plaza, which is where a lot of the local activity happens. We are at the 786125 area code, right in the thick of the town’s main road. The plaza nearby brings in a lot of people looking to shop or just hang out, so there is always some movement outside our front door. We’ve been running this place for a while, and it feels like a part of the neighborhood now. The building is simple, nothing that would stand out from a distance, but we keep it functional. The humidity in Assam can be tough on buildings, so we are always painting over a spot or fixing a leak somewhere. It’s a bit of a constant battle. We see a lot of people who are here for work or visiting family in the area. There’s no big staff in uniforms here, just a few of us making sure things are okay. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, and it rains a lot here. We have a few chairs in the lobby where people sit and wait, and the light comes in through the front windows in the afternoon. It’s a straightforward kind of place for people who aren't looking for anything complicated. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving inside.
