C.N.R Clinic

People know us here in Namrup. It’s a quiet place mostly, and we've been sitting here in this spot for a while now. The clinic isn't anything fancy, just a few rooms where people come when they aren't feeling right. We see folks from the tea gardens and the township every day. Sometimes it gets real busy in the mornings when the sun is just coming up and people want to get seen before work starts. We have chairs in the waiting area that have seen better days, but they do the job. My desk is usually covered in papers and old files because the computer system sometimes acts up. We try to keep things moving. There is a tea stall just down the road where I usually grab a cup around eleven if there's a gap in patients. It’s just how things go here. We know most of the families by name now. If someone is running late, we usually know why—usually it's the rain or a slow bus. We don't have big signs or anything. People just know where we are. It’s a simple setup. We deal with coughs, fevers, and the usual stuff that goes around. Sometimes it's just about listening to someone talk about their day while we check their blood pressure. That’s just life in Namrup for us at C.N.R Clinic. It's a job, but it's also where we spend all our time. We keep the doors open through the heat and the rain.
