We are based out of Borbil No. 1, right on A.T. Road in Digboi. If you are driving through Tinsukia, you’ve probably seen the sign. We are in the tea business, which is pretty much the lifeblood of this part of Assam. Our days are filled with the sight of green leaves and the sound of the sorting machines. It’s a simple operation, really. We don't have a big corporate headquarters or anything. Just a solid building where we get the work done. The humidity here can be tough, and we spend a lot of time just trying to stay cool while we work. Most of the folks here are from nearby villages. We don't use much fancy equipment, just the stuff that has worked for years. Sometimes the A.T. Road gets really clogged with traffic and it slows everything down, but we just wait it out. There’s no point in rushing things when it comes to tea anyway. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just do the work, pack the tea, and send it off. It’s a lot of physical labor and sweating. At the end of the day, we’re just tired people who are happy to have finished another batch. It's just a regular local business and we like it that way. We just keep the crates stacked and the floors swept as best we can.
