You can find us at Rukmani House on A. T. Road. We are directly across from where the old railway station used to be. It’s a good location for a textile business because people are always passing through that part of town. We have rolls of cloth and different fabrics piled up inside. It’s mostly just us here cutting fabric and helping people find the right color or material for whatever they are making. The building is an older one, but it works for what we need. We spend our time measuring lengths of cloth and making sure the stock stays clean. It gets a bit hectic when several customers come in at once wanting different things, but we manage. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing our shop when they go by the station area. The shelves are pretty high and filled to the top with different materials. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for in the back room where we keep the extra stock. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen many shops come and go on this road. It’s just a regular textile shop where we work every day. No big speeches or fancy sales tactics, just selling fabric by the meter. We just open up, sweep the floor, and get to work until it’s time to close up the shutters.
