Srilava Traders

Srilava Traders is located over at 709 Chendur, which is part of the Tindivanam area in Viluppuram. It’s a dusty part of the world, especially when the trucks go past on the main road. We do trading here, mostly handling bulk goods that come in from the surrounding farms and other places. The building is just a functional space, nothing too pretty, with a big heavy door and a lot of floor space for stacking goods. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or talking to drivers who are dropping things off. Tindivanam is a good spot for this kind of work because it connects so many other towns. The office part of the shop is just a desk and a couple of chairs that have seen better days. We don't really have a set closing time, it just depends on when the work is done for the day. Sometimes the heat is quite something, so we keep the windows open, but that just lets more dust in. It’s a simple business, really. We buy things, we sell things, and we try to keep the accounts straight in our books. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things, so there’s a bit of a community of traders around here. I’ve lived in Viluppuram most of my life, so I’m used to the way things move slowly but surely in Chendur. It’s just how we get by.
