Mark Design

Mark Design is located on Jalan Embong Kenongo. It’s a decent street and not too loud most of the time. We have a small space here. It’s mostly just computers and a few old drawing boards leaning against the wall. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door that people sometimes miss. I started this because I liked drawing and making things look right on paper. Now it's just a daily routine for us. We sit here and work on whatever comes in. Sometimes it’s busy and sometimes it’s not. There are three of us total in the office. We usually have the radio playing some local station in the background. It helps with the long hours. We don't have a formal meeting room. If someone visits, we just pull up a spare chair and clear some space on the table. The tea shop next door is where we get our drinks. It's easier than making it ourselves in the tiny kitchen. The floor is old wood and it creaks when you walk. We’ve thought about fixing it but never really got the time. It gives the place a bit of character I suppose. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just do the design work. Most people find us through word of mouth. We keep a lot of old sketches in boxes in the corner. They take up space but we don't want to throw them out.
