Somya Ice Cream

We are based in Village Dighoda, which is part of the Jatara Tehsil. Our shop is located near the Bundelkhand School, so we hear the kids and the school bells all day long. The post office is also nearby, which makes our corner of the village a bit more active than other parts. It is a very simple place we have here. We don't use any fancy marketing or have a polished look. It is just a functional building where we keep our stock and serve the people who live around here. Since we are in Dighoda, we know almost everyone who comes in. A big part of our day is just checking on the electricity. In this part of Jatara, the power can be a bit unreliable, so we have to stay on top of it to make sure our stock stays cold. The summers are definitely the hardest time, with the sun beating down on the village. We have a couple of chairs for people who want to sit, but most customers are just passing through on their way to the post office or the school. We don't bother with advertising; people just know we are here by word of mouth. It is a small, basic business run by locals. We just take things as they come, keeping the floors swept and the freezers running as best as we can.
