Shrigurukripa Concrete Udyog

Pratappura industrial area is where we spend all our time. It is near the police chauki, which is actually helpful because people use it as a landmark to find our gate. Shrigurukripa Concrete Udyog isn't a place for people who like to keep their clothes clean. We are in the Tikamgarh district, and the sun here really beats down on the metal sheds during the afternoon. The main road is always busy with lorries heading toward Jhansi or Mauranipur. We started this because there was space here in the Iidc area to set up the molds. Most days involve checking the mixtures and making sure the water supply is working right for the curing process. Concrete takes time to set, so there is a lot of waiting around and then a lot of rushing once it is ready. The dust from the industrial area gets into everything, even your lunch box if you are not careful. We know the other shop owners around here, and we sometimes share tools if something breaks down in the yard. It is just a practical way to live and work. Orchha is nearby, but we do not see much of the tourist side of things. We just see the gravel and the cement trucks. My father used to say that concrete is the bone of a house, and I guess that stuck with me. We don't have big brochures. If you walk past the station, you will see us.
