New Raj Medical Store

I have been at Shop 4 by the bus stand here in Prithvipur for a long time now. People know this spot well because it’s right where the buses stop and start. New Raj Medical Store is basically just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep the shelves full. We see a lot of people coming in from the villages around here when they get off the bus. They usually have a slip of paper from a doctor and they need their tablets right away so they can catch the next ride back home. It gets really busy in the mornings. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the shop and I have to wipe the counters every hour. I don’t mind it much. My father started things around this area and I just kept it going. We stock the usual things people need like bandages, syrups, and the common pills for fevers. If someone asks for something we don’t have, I try to get it from the city by the next day. It’s a simple business. We open early and stay until the last main bus leaves the stand. There isn't any fancy decor here, just rows of boxes and a cooling fridge for the injections. It’s mostly about making sure the local folks don’t have to travel too far just for basic medicine. Prithvipur is a quiet place except for the bus horns. We just do our bit.
