Betwa Cottage Orchha

This place is a bit different because we are part of the M.P.S. Tourism Dev. Corp. Ltd. setup here in Orchha. Betwa Cottage is situated in a town that feels like it’s stuck in another century. Orchha is famous for its temples and the river, and we are right in the thick of that atmosphere. Being a government-managed property means we have a certain way of doing things. It’s not about being the flashiest place in town. It’s about being reliable. We have cottages that are spread out a bit, and they give you a little more space than a standard hotel room. The Betwa river is nearby, and you can often hear the water or see the birds around the trees. We spend a lot of our time making sure the gardens are kept up and that the rooms are clean. It’s a quiet life here compared to the big cities. The staff mostly comes from Orchha or the surrounding villages. We don't have a marketing department writing these words. I’m just sitting here telling you what it’s like. We serve simple food and provide a bed. If you want to see the old stones and the river, this is where we are. It’s a practical place for people who like history and don't need a lot of luxury. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next traveler to arrive.
