M/S Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Sugars

Out here in Udumbiyum Village, things are a bit quieter than in the big cities. M/S Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Sugars is located at number 451. We’re part of the Veppanthattai Taluk area, which is mostly a lot of open space and fields. Being out in a village means we know almost everyone who passes by our gates. The work we do involves a lot of coordination because we’re a bit further out from the main hubs. We have to be careful with our timing for the trucks coming in and out of Udumbiyum. It’s a large operation but it doesn't feel like a big corporation. It feels more like a local fixture. We spend a lot of time outdoors or in the large storage areas. The air is a bit fresher here, which is nice, but the sun can be brutal in the middle of the day. We don't use any big words or marketing talk to describe ourselves. We just process the sugar and make sure the bags are loaded correctly. There’s a lot of noise from the machinery sometimes, so we’ve all gotten used to shouting a bit to be heard. It’s a practical, hardworking environment where everyone knows their job. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine of the village life suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and get the sugar where it needs to go, day in and day out.
