Lifecare Clinic

Down here in Veliancode, the clinic is a place where most people know each other. It’s not like those big city hospitals where you’re just a number. Our waiting room is small and the chairs are a bit mismatched. You can usually hear the sound of the ceiling fan and the murmur of people talking while they wait. We’ve got the usual clinic things—stethoscopes, medicine cabinets, and stacks of patient files that keep growing every year. It’s often busy in the mornings when the local families come in. We don't have a team of receptionists in suits. It’s just us, doing the daily work of checking temperatures and handing out prescriptions. Some days it gets a bit overwhelming when everyone seems to get sick at the same time, especially when the weather changes. We try to keep the place clean and tidy, but with so many people coming in from the street, there’s always a bit of dust. We’ve been in Veliancode for a while and we’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children here. It’s a very basic setup, focused on the people who walk through the door. There’s no fancy marketing or big promises. We just open up in the morning, see who needs help, and do what we can until it’s time to close. The life of a small clinic is mostly about patience and listening to what the neighbors have to say.
