Tt Paul Merchants

We are Tt Paul Merchants, and you can find us at XXVI/917 in the Rice Bazar. If you know the Rice Bazar, you know it's a maze of shops and narrow paths. We've been in this same spot for years, watching the market change around us. The shop isn't big, but we make use of every inch of space, stacking sacks right up to the ceiling. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we like it that way. Most of our day is spent talking to other merchants and people looking for good stock. We don't have a fancy business strategy. We just know our products and we know the people who buy them. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or a cup of tea, which is how most business gets done here. The noise of the market is constant, with bells and shouting and the sound of carts being pushed over the stones. We don't use computers much, mostly just for the basics. Our ledgers are kept by hand because that's how we've always done it. It’s a simple way of living, but it works for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest merchants in the bazar, just the ones people can rely on. When the day ends, we pull down the shutters and walk home through the same streets we’ve known all our lives.
