TRICHUR MONETARY NIDHI LIMITED

Our place is in the Bellmouth Building on Kuruppam Road in Thrissur. We are up on the third floor at No 53. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but most people don’t mind. Kuruppam Road is one of those spots in Thrissur that is always moving. We have been here for a while now, operating as a Nidhi company. The office is full of files and the sound of people talking. We don’t have those fancy open-plan offices you see in movies. It is more traditional, with solid wooden desks and shelves stacked with books. We spend our time helping folks with their savings and small loans. It’s the kind of work where you really get to know the people you are helping. Most of our members live nearby or work in the shops on the lower floors. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People just find us because we’ve been here and they know how we work. It’s honest, steady work. We try to keep things simple for everyone who comes in. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the afternoon, but we manage. It’s just a group of us working in a central part of town, making sure the money is handled right and the records are kept up to date every single day.
