Structural Draftsman

My name is Vinod and I run things from my place here in Mupliyam, which is in the Thrissur district of Kerala. I’m a draftsman by trade. I’ve lived at Cheliparambil house for a long time and this is where I do all my structural drawing work. It is a simple setup. I have my computer and my tools, and I just get through the plans as they come in. Being in a place like Mupliyam means it is peaceful. I don't have a big corporate office with a receptionist or anything like that. It’s just me handling the drafting. When someone needs a structural drawing, they get in touch and I see what I can do. I try to be careful with the lines and the numbers because that stuff matters once they start building. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if the design is tricky. I’ve seen a lot of changes in how we do drawings over the years, moving from paper to digital, but the basic idea is still the same. You have to make sure it can actually be built. I’m usually around most days if there is work to be done. The address is pretty easy to find if you know the area. It’s just a regular house where work happens. I don't see the need for a lot of fuss. I just like to finish the job and move on to the next one.
